Founded in 2011, DGC Dance organises K-Pop Dance Cover Classes in a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. DGC Dance has performed dance covers at our very own DGC Dance Shows and regularly performs in support of Danceaid.
Whether you’re interested in learning to dance, having a bit of fun, keeping fit or meeting new people, these events are open to all. Classes are usually followed up by a trip to Chinatown for dinner, desserts and bubble tea!

Dickie trained at Pineapple Dance Studios learning from teachers including Hip Hop RAW teachers Emmanuel & Damilola, freestyle hip hop dance guru Supermalcom and Darren “Tiger” Heslop’s Hip Hop.
Dickie discovered his passion for dance just before starting university in Cambridge, having started out performing at university shows, and has been dancing ever since. He now runs his own DGC Dance classes and shows to encourage us all to get onto the dance floor! You will find him competing in London’s K-Pop Dance Battle competitions and dance workshops he runs for the British Chinese Society. Check out these videos to see what DGC Dance is all about.
I had never been to a dance class before and was worried I wouldn’t remember the routine. However Dickie is an excellent teacher very patient and provide great humour that made the lessons great fun and easy to learn. The classes are fun, friendly and great exercise :O) – Jenny
The dance classes are great as they combine exercise and socialising. I would recommend anyone to try out the classes as Dickie is an attentive teacher and always motivating you. Most importantly, the lessons are enjoyable: don’t take it too seriously and you will have many laughs (and perhaps pick up some new funky moves!) “Time flies by when you’re having fun” – Teresa
Dickie’s dance classes are fun and challenging, they’re a great start for beginners looking to learn new techniques while learning a full routine.
He’s happy to give tips and tailor his teaching to the group and the class is always filled with laughs from a friendly bunch. DGC Dance classes – do it! – Becky
