Annyeong! Welcome to DGC! We are K-Pop dance cover specialists in London ❤️

Founded in 2011, DGC Dance is a fun & inclusive K-Pop dance school and community in London. We specialise in teaching the full K-Pop dances for the songs you love and have been running weekly K-Pop Dance Cover Classes for over 10 years (the first and longest running weekly K-Pop dance class in London and perhaps the UK!) all within a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

We provide lots of opportunities for students to be involved in our group K-Pop dance cover projects 🎥 and feature in our cinematic K-Pop dance covers on YouTube and Instagram so you can perform just like your favourite idols 🤩.

We also hold our very own DGC Dance Shows (Kpop dance showcases) twice a year where students have the opportunity to get up on stage and perform what they learnt in class.

We are a team of 9 passionate dance instructors (Dickie, Caroline, HaYeon, Uyen, Scarlet, Sam, Sophia, Jemima & Poppy) and also have a devoted operations/admin team and wonderful volunteers. Our K-Pop classes are held most weekday evenings (and sometimes during the weekend), 1 minute from Tottenham Court Road station at YMCA Club and some classes at Fitness4Less Southwark and in the City of London (also known as the Square Mile).

Whether you’re interested in learning your favourite Kpop dances, having a bit of fun, keeping fit or meeting new people (especially other K-Pop fans!), these events are open to all.

Founder

Dickie trained at Pineapple Dance Studios learning from teachers including Hip Hop RAW teachers Emmanuel & Damilola, freestyle hip hop dance guru Supermalcom and Darren “Tiger” Heslop’s Hip Hop. He has been known to go on dance holidays takings classes at New York’s Broadway Dance Centre and dance schools in Hong Kong.

Dickie discovered his passion for dance just before starting his Computer Science degree at Cambridge University. He began his dance journey freestyling in clubs and watching dance movies like Save The Last Dance and Step Up. At university, he attended hip hop classes and performed at annual shows, and has been dancing ever since.

After running DGC as a passion project / side hustle in his spare time for a few years, Dickie quit his software developer job in 2016 to focus on building the DGC K-Pop dance community full time. He now teaches Kpop dance classes (not as much nowadays as the team is so big!), produces dance cover videos and organises the DGC Shows – connecting K-Pop fans in London through dance and encourages us all to get onto the dance floor / stage!
